How Much Did They Pay You To Give Up On Your Dreams

A friend shared a short video clip of the Movie, Up In The Air starring George Clooney. The title of that clip is “How Much Did They Pay You To Give Up On Your Dreams”. And indeed it could be a wake up call for many just like George Clooney said.

I’ve met kids who wants to be pilot, hairdresser, policeman and even Crime Scene Investigator. Those were their dreams. I’m just curious how many actually live their dreams. Those dreams changes because they face the hard realities of the world.

Ask any employees of the banks. How many of them wanted to be a banker since a child? Most join the bank because that’s where the money is. And most bankers are unhappy because they are not borne to this world to be a banker. They are meant to do something else, something bigger. They traded their dreams for a paycheck.

Are you one of those who traded their dreams? What are your childhood dreams? When was the time you decide to give them up?

There is something bigger and greater that is awaiting for you. You live once, only once to fulfill your dreams. And you have 70 years of your adult life to fulfill it. The good news is you can take back those dreams at any point in time. So when will you be taking those dreams back?

      Hi Shalonda,
It seems impossible because of our education system and the creation of banking system. These creations cause a false sense of security. Only when we truly let go of all our past beliefs, your dreams will become possible. Like what you say, it’s always possible, it’s always there.
