Everyone is looking for miracles. And trust me, miracles do happen. But are you ready for it? Are you ready for miracles to happen to you? When you are ready, the Universe is going to summon waves and waves of tsunami to drown you. So are you ready to create miracle? Are you ready to thrive?
Miracles happen to those who never give up.
Miracles happen to those who are committed.
Miracles happen to those are determined.
Miracles happen to those who run the extra miles.
Miracles happen to those who persevere.
Miracles happen to those who endure.
Miracles happen to those practice.
Miracles happen to those who are focus.
Miracles happen to those are moving.
Miracles happen to those who believe.
This video featured Derek Raymond in the 1992 Olympics. Derek had a pull on his hamstring during the race. He could have given up the race, but he did not.
When his father joined him in the race, I teared.
Derek demonstrated commitment here. Once committed, it is all the way till you reached the finishing line. You can drag yourself, crawl, get someone to carry you, or do whatever to get the line. Miracles do happen, are you ready for miracles?
Liverpool vs AC Milan Champions League 2005 is always my favourite. Well, because I’m a Liverpool fan. This match is an epic. The greatest Champions League Final.
Scoreline of 3-0 against Liverpool at half-time. It seems all is gone. There was no way of coming back. And AC Milan was playing brilliantly. Who will ever know that the score was levelled in just 6 minutes. The crazy 6 minutes.
I always felt very inspired when Steven Gerrard scored the 1st goal, followed by motivating the crowd and team. Watching him do that always got me teared.
Liverpool believed they could come back. I feel they never once doubted that they were inferior. They never gave up, they were determined, they believed, so did the fans. So they created the miracles of Istanbul. Miracles do happen, are you ready to create your miracles with determination, perseverance and teamwork.
In sports, football is my first love. My second is basketball. Mentioning basketball, I must mention Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player.
A famous quote from him.
“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
He tried out for the varsity basketball team but at 5’11” (1.80 m), he was deemed too short to play at that level. He didn’t bow to that obstacles. He practiced harder than anyone, wake up earlier than anyone, shoot more hoops than anyone. He created miracle by growing 10cm, and eventually became the man who defies gravity. Miracles do happen, and what are you willing to do to create miracles in your life?
Heather Dorniden, the wonder woman. Saw this video accidentally. She showed the world what you do after taking a fall in life. You get up, continue the run. But run faster and stronger.
She sent the message strongly. It’s not about the race, it’s about what you do when you fall in the race. She achieved miracles with her steel willpower and laser-liked focus. From the video, you can see that she had only one thing in mind – winning. Miracles do happen, and how do you create your miracles in life?
Quotes From Them
It’s probably one of my greatest running memories of all time. It’s something that is completely unexplainable to me besides through a higher power. I feel like the Lord just filled me up and gave me the opportunity to show what amazing things can happen through Him. – Heather Dorniden
If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I’ve had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it. – Michael Jordan
Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen. – Michael Jordan
I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying. – Michael Jordan
