You Won’t Believe That It is So Simple to Achieve Peak Performance

peak performanceFor almost 10 years, I have been looking at the human ability to achieve peak performance. I went on to study people who achieve miracles, and those who did not. I experimented theories on myself, also consolidated my findings from my coaching clients; I came up with three conclusions that affect human performance.

With these three conclusions, you can achieve peak performance on your own too. You don’t have to be stuck in mediocre. You can achieve peak performance whenever you like it. You are in charge of your performance.

Below are my recent accounts of my experiences regarding peak performance.

I am a regular gym goer, squatting with barbell of 85kg on my shoulder. This is the maximum weight that I can lift at this moment. The thing is I don’t get to 85kg overnight, and knowing the process of me being able to squat 85kg will give you an idea of the first conclusion.

I was stuck at 80kg for about three months, and what happen in the three months?

I was limiting myself. My mind said that I couldn’t do it, thus, I didn’t dare to put on more weight. Since my mind said I couldn’t do it, my body followed the voice of my mind. 80kg seems like my limit, and it’s really not that easy to squat at 80kg.

At the end of three months being stuck at 80kg, I finally decide to take a risk, despite still having difficulties to squat at 80kg. I stopped listening to my mind for once. That day, I broke the limit of 80kg. I was squatting at 82.5kg.

All these while, I was limiting myself, my mind lied to me. My body can break the 80kg mark all these while, but my mind limits its growth.

My first conclusion here is BELIEVE IN YOURSELF THAN YOUR MIND.

You always have the ability to do more. When you can think of it, you can achieve it. When you are not achieving it, that’s because your mind sets a limit for you.

Here is an unbelievable video of no limit, only the limit your mind set.

So now I am squatting at 85kg, which is my maximum at this moment. Will my mind lie to me again? Definitely. Will I break the limit again? Definitely. But I’m taking it slow, as I injured my knee and back while playing football.

That’s not my point. My point is a new experiment at 85kg.

One day while squatting at my usual 85kg, I couldn’t complete the full set; which is strange because I had never experience an incomplete set at 85kg.

Reflecting upon this, there is only one explanation. My mind wasn’t in the gym although my body is. I was thinking of work that day, with many incomplete tasks. My mind wasn’t present during the gym session, and that affect my performance that day. This will be very obvious when the task you are embarking requires your full attention.

My second conclusion, YOUR BODY WILL REACT TO YOUR MIND. This is critical to your performance as your mind then sets the level of your performance. Being fully present and 100% focus becomes the key to peak performance.

To train your mind, take up this unique program, Decoding The Abundance Mindset.

Let’s move from the gym to the football field. Soccer is part of my life since teenage years. Playing soccer is my addiction, and I was extremely good at it. I was very confident in the game, know very well that I always perform in the game.

However, I wasn’t playing well lately. I guess probably age has a part to play yet I do not believe that my skill has deteriorated so much.

After reflecting upon it, I discovered that confidence is missing from me in regards to soccer. I’ve lost the confidence that I used to have. I have more fear than I used to have. In the past, I have tricks in my pocket, more stamina and speed to get past my marker.

Now, when I received have the ball on my feet, thoughts flash past me. Can I still get past my marker? Do I want to reserve my energy to last the whole match? Do I quickly past the ball away to relinquish the responsibility?

Too much thought, too much fear and the lack of the old confident crush my performance on the field.

My third conclusion from the field is YOUR PERFORMANCE IS DETERMINE BY YOUR CONFIDENCE.

This third conclusion proves another of my theory. Despite learning all the skills and techniques about a particular area, the lack of confidence limits your performance. But at the same time, the lack of skills can limit your performance too.

Both the internal and external must grow together to achieve true peak performance.

I’m amazed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s equally educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head.
The problem is something too few folks are speaking intelligently about.
I am very happy I found this in my hunt for something
    concerning this.
